Lots of times when I’m guiding folks in yoga, I have a sense of realizing a felt sense of “shine” that comes over me. I feel myself glowing. Like a mirror. I think about how I’m reflecting back all that the teachers with whom I’ve studied have guided me in to the place where I am now.
When I teach I know I am paying forward a brilliance they gave me at a time when I really needed light. It is deeply rewarding when I know that I am returning a ratified shiny wisdom, the very one which I absorbed from my teachers.
I’m hopeful that the people who attend my practices are in someway brightened by that same legacy-light-source which was first ignited a couple of thousand years ago.
